Biography

I was born to two artists in North Carolina. Almost immediately, our family moved. (Coincidence?) I grew up in small-town Virginia with my parents, younger brother, and an assortment of pets.

As soon as I could write (and well before I could spell), I drafted and illustrated short stories. My family supported me unflaggingly. When I finished my first novel at the age of sixteen, both parents and my brother read it.

Now, I have completed four novels, a novella, and numerous short stories. Nearly all are humorous middle-grade fantasy, most taking place in the world I have been building since my first novel. The works I've had published are listed here.
